Senior Companions

The Senior Companion Program for people living with Parkinson’s disease is now available through our partnership with the Dr. Ella Piper Center for Social Services.

For those with PD who live alone, a Senior Companion can offer company and someone to talk to, play cards with, or simply provide a second hand for some household activities. They often provide transportation to appointments or shopping.

A Senior Companion allows a care partner to leave home for errands, appointments or a few social hours with friends. Respite gives a care partner the chance to refresh and continue providing care.

You can take advantage of this program by calling the Dr. Piper Center at 239-332-5346. You will answer some basic questions before being referred to a case manager.
