Creative Opportunities

handbellsParticipating in art, music and dance can ease the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. Research has shown that certain types of creative activities stimulate the production of dopamine and serotonin – two neurotransmitters that are diminished in PD patients.

Music, art and dance provide an outlet for self-expression and a closer connection to others. This promotes both physical and emotional health and well-being. Having the arts in your life is enriching, invigorating and therapeutic.

Our participants report that creative activities bring relief from symptoms. The added bonus is that these opportunities are fun! Please check our quarterly newsletter for further details.
